The dithioethers CH 3 SCF 2 CH 2 SCH 3 , CH 3 SCH(CF 3 )CH 2 SCH 3 , CH 3 SCH(CF 3 )CH(CF 3 )SCH 3 , CH 3 SCH(CH 3 )CH 2 SCH 3 , CH 3 SCH(CH 3 )CH(CH 3 ), C 6 F 5 SCH 2 ‐CH 2 SC 6 F 5 , CF 3 SCH 2 CH 2 SCH 3 , and C 6 F 5 SCH 2 CH 2 SCH 3 have been prepared by photochemical addition to olefines or by metathetical reactions. Physical and some chemical properties are described.
