A description is given of a new method and apparatus for precise measurements of the isothermal compressibility of liquids over an extensive temperature range using a small excess of pressure. Data are presented of an experimental study of the isothermal compressibility of six organic compounds (some of them for the first time) over a large temperature range (10–90° C).
