Seven new ZnS polytypes of the family 28L are identified. They are 28L (18 3 5 2), 84R (5 5 5 3 3 3 2 2) 3 , 28L (26 2), 28L (13 5 7 3), 84R (13 7 3 5) 3 , 28L (3 3 3 3 3 3 3 3 2 2), and 84R (7 3 3 3 3 3 3 3) 3 . Indications of polytype transformation are presented and discussed.
