The N‐carboxy‐anhydrides of β ‐ benzyl O‐t‐butyl‐threo‐β‐hydroxy‐DL‐ and L‐aspartate were polymerized. The two protecting groups, i. e., t‐butyl and benzyl groups, could be removed stepwise without degradation of the DL‐polymer.
