γ‐Amino‐α‐fluorobutyric acid (V) and ϵ‐amino‐α‐fluorocaproic acid (VII) have been prepared from the corresponding phthalimido‐α‐bromo‐acid anilides (or other amides) through reaction with potassium fluoride and subsequent hydrolysis.
