Abstract A quick and precise method is given for the heterometric determination of 0.13‐0.2 mg vanadium in 20ml solution, with 5, 7‐diiodo‐8‐hydroxyquinoline (diiodooxine). Large amounts of Ca, Mg, Zn, Ni, Co, Cd, Al, Pb, U, Zr do not Interfere with the determination of vanadium. The titration is carried out in 5–8 minutes and the maximum error is about 1%.
