The application of avian RNA tumor virus (ATV)‐neutralizing chicken sera to ATV‐transformed mammalian cells followed by indirect immuno‐ferritin labelling revealed an ATV group‐specific cell membrane labelling in two mouse cell lines. The respective antigens seem to be cross‐antigenic to the tumor‐specific surface antigen (TSSA) demonstrated recently on ATV‐transformed chicken embryo cells. The common antigens do not represent ATV envelope antigenicities or any of the other characteristized virus structural components.
