An association between cereal consumption and stomach cancer mortality is proposed. The data consist of age‐sex adjusted mortality rates of stomach cancer and cereal consumption per capita in 16 countries. Both the cereal consumption and stomach cancer mortality, as also changes in each of the variables, are significantly correlated.
