The formation of focused rainfall recharge freshwater lenses floating above denser, saline or brackish groundwater are a crucial source of freshwater supplies in arid regions. A baseline for an example of these lenses is established by using a three‐dimensional density‐dependent groundwater flow model tested against multiple data targets and water age. This study assesses the natural dynamic of these lenses and therefore enhances the understanding of their formation and stability. A conceptual model of a focused rainfall recharge freshwater lens in subterranean oases in arid regions.
