This report provides a description of an efficient and simple procedure for the synthesis of substituted cyclopentadienes via a one‐pot three‐component reaction of cyclohexyl isocyanide, diethyl acetylenedicarboxylate and (arylmethylidene)malononitriles in H 2 O under ultrasonic irradiation. The remarkable advantages are the simplicity of the experimental procedures, high yields, short reaction times, and avoidance of organic solvents.
