Six New Sesquiterpenes from Eupatorium lindleyanum

The six new germacrane‐type sesquiterpenoid lactones 1 – 6 were isolated from the CHCl 3 extract of Eupatorium lindleyanum DC. The structures of these compounds were determined by spectroscopic analyses, including interpretation of 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR spectra. Compounds 1 – 6 were tested for cytotoxicity against NB4 and K562 leukemia cell lines, showing that 2 and 5 possess potent cytotoxicity ( Table 3 ).
