From the ripe fruits of red mamey ( Pouteria sapota ), two new carotenoids, 3′‐deoxycapsorubin and 3,3′‐dideoxycapsorubin, were isolated and identified based on their UV/VIS, CD, 1 H‐NMR, and mass spectral data.
