From the soft bodied coral Sarcophyton glaucum collected from the South China Sea two new cembranoids, (7 R ,8 S )‐dihydroxydeepoxy‐ ent ‐sarcophine ( 1 ) and secosarcophinolide ( 2 ), together with one known related compound, ent ‐sarcophine ( 3 ), were isolated. The structures of the new compounds were determined by extensive analysis of their spectroscopic data and chemical correlation. The absolute configuration of 1 was determined by chemical correlation with 3 and by comparison of its optical rotation value with that of its corresponding enantiomer, (7 S ,8 R )‐dihydroxydeepoxysarcophine ( 5 ).
