(+)‐Multifidence ((+)‐ 1 ) has been synthesized starting from ( R )‐(cyclopent‐2‐enyl)methanol ((+)‐ 2 ) via its chloroformate 4 , Co‐mediated radical cyclization reaction to the lactone (+)‐ 6 , and introduction of the olefinic side chains.
