13 C‐NMR longitudinal relaxation rates are analysed with the Woessner equations: in CDCl 3 solution at room temperature, 1‐phenyladamantane has rotational diffusion coefficients R ‖ = 8.1 × 10 10 rad · s −1 and R ⊥ = 1.1 × 10 10 rad · s −1 corresponding to high motional anisotropy (σ = 7.4).
