The crystal structure of 2‐dimethylaminobenzenediazonium tetrafluoroborate has been determined at 183 K by X‐ray diffraction. The cation is very nearly planar, the strong steric interaction between the ortho ‐groups being diminished by in‐plane angular distoritions.
