Chemistry of Spiro‐β‐lactams Reactions of the easily accessible spiro‐β‐lactams 1 are described. These comprise hydrogenation, hydrolyses and alcoholyses, reaction with hydrazine, and lead to new heterocyclic compounds. Some further transformations of the products are shown.
