Determination of the Chirality of Optically Active Porphine Type Nickel Complexes The chirality of (+)‐[1‐methyl‐8 H‐HDP]nickelperchlorate ( 4 ) was determined to be (1 R ) by X‐ray analysis of 7a combined with chemical correlation of the chirality at C(1′) of the 1′‐methyl‐2′‐oxopropoxy side chain of 7a with (−)‐( R )‐2‐methyl‐2,3‐butandiol ( 9 ).
