Enhancement of Detection Sensitivity of Cyclosporin A by Derivatization with 2‐Napthylselenylchloride The UV./HPLC. detection sensitivity of cyclosporine A 1 , an immunosuppressive cyclic undecapeptide containing one D‐aminoacid and seven N ‐methylated aminoacids, is enhanced by a factor of 3‐4 (limit of detection 5 ng) by conversion of the characteristic side chain of amino‐acid‐1 to the β‐naphthylseleno‐substituted tetrahydrofuran derivative 4 .
