Stereospecific syntheses of ( E )‐ and ( Z )‐α‐bisabolenes have made revision of the configuration of natural (+)‐α‐bisabolene from Opoponax oil necessary. 13 C‐NMR. spectroscopy has been used for the differentiation of these isomers.
