The 13 C‐NMR. spectra of a series of complexes of type [PtCl 2 (PR 3 ) 2 ] and [PtCl 4 (PR 3 ) 2 ] have been measured. The values 2 J(Pt, C) are shown to reflect changes in the metal hydridization while the values [ 3 J(P A , C) + 5 J(P B , C)] are found to vary only slightly. It is suggested that the phosphorus hybridization in these complexes varies only slightly.
