A remarkable intramolecular stereoselectivity was observed in the ring closure reactions of 1‐, 2‐, 3‐, and 4‐methyl‐5‐hexenyl‐aluminium systems. The possible relationship between this stereoselectivity and the relative thermodynamic stabilities of the conformers involved in the cyclization reactions, is discussed.
