The crystal structures of cis ‐cyclodecene. 1/2 AgNO 3 (monoclinic, a = 5.329, b =14.53, c =27.17 Å, β=92.02°, space group C 2/ c ) and of 1,1,4,4‐tetramethyl‐ cis ‐cyclodec‐7‐ene · 1/2 AgNO 3 (orthorhombic, a =5.879, b =16.86, c =28.39 Å, space group C 222 1 ) have been determined. The relative arrangement of Ag + cations, NO 3 − anions and cyclo‐olefin molecules are very similar in the two crystals, but the conformations of the ring skeletons are very different.
