The half‐sandwich type complexes LCr(CO) 3 (L=(C 2 H 5 ) 3 B 3 N 3 (CH 3 ) 3 , (CH 3 ) 3 B 3 N 3 (C 2 H 5 ) 3 , C 6 H 6 , sym ‐C 6 H 3 (CH 3 ) 3 ) have been prepared by photochemical reaction of Cr(CO) 6 with the appropriate ligand L at highly reduced pressure. This new method is of particular advantage for the synthesis of the hexaalkylborazole complexes.
