The crystal structure of the N b ‐methobromid of the alcaloid meloscin has been determined by three‐dimensional X ‐ray crystallographic methods. The crystals belong to the orthorhombic space group P 2 1 2 1 2 1 with four molecules per unit cell. The cell constants are a = 10.01, b = 17.79, c = 11.43 Å. The absolute configuration has been obtained by the use of anomalous dispersion effects.
