Crepenynic acid (9‐octadecen‐12‐ynoic acid) fed to rats as naturally occurring triglyceride is not incorporated into brain and liver lipids, and into the depot fat only to a small amount. As a metabolite the previously unknown 4‐decynedioic acid was isolated from the urine.
