The total acidic hydrolysis of kalanoside‐H and kalanoside‐K yielded 12‐O‐acetyl‐17‐isolineolon as well as three sugars: oleandrose, canarose and digitoxose. From partial hydrolysis and UV., IR. and NMR. spectral data, it could be concluded that kalanoside‐H is probably a trisaccharide glycoside having the partial formula 1a or 1b , and similarly that kalanoside‐K has probably the partial formula 2 .
