Functional derivatives of flavo‐coenzymes, altered in position 2 or 3, have been synthesized in order to check the coenzyme specificity of flavo‐apoproteins. Phosphorylation and phosphate separation methods have been adapted to the synthesis of 2‐imino‐,2‐thio‐ and 3‐alkyl‐flavin mono‐ and di‐nucleotides.
