The easy conversion of 3‐oxo‐Δ 5(10),9(11) ‐19‐norsteroids into 3‐oxo‐Δ 4,9,11 ‐19‐norsteroids by subsequent treatment with a peracid, aluminium oxide, and boron trifluoride is described.
