Thin monocristalline sheets of silver bromide have been developed at the contact of a platinum wire connected with a battery. It is shown by electron diffraction that the developed silver grains are composed of silver crystals with a diameter of approximately 150 Å. Autoradiography proves that most of the reduced silver ions are located in a thin superficial layer of the crystalline sheet of silver bromide.
