Synthesis and properties of a number of 1‐(3‐halogeno‐4‐methoxy‐phenyl)‐1‐hydroxy‐2‐amino‐propanes, a group of new hypertensive substances, are described. One racemate has been resolved, and the optically active components have been correlated with a catecholamine of known absolute configuration.
