The synthesis of the cycloheptapeptide XIII (Figure 2), corresponding to the structure proposed by T. S UZUKI et al. for the antibiotic circulin A, and its crystallization as pentaphosphate are reported. This synthetic compound proved to be identical in all respects with the crystalline natural circulin A pentaphosphate.
