Stability constants of metal ion complexes, in which the metal ion is bonded to the o ‐hydroxy‐N‐oxide ligand group of inosine N(1)‐oxide and inosine N(1)‐oxide 5′‐monophosphate, have been measured. The distribution of some bivalent metal ions between o ‐hydroxy‐N‐oxide and phosphate ligand groups of inosine N(1)‐oxide 5′‐monophosphate has been estimated: Mn 2+ , Co 2+ , Ni 2+ , Cu 2+ , and Zn 2+ are mainly bonded to the o ‐hydroxy‐N‐oxide ligand group; with Mg 2+ , Ca 2+ , and Ba 2+ an equilibrium between the two complexes has to be assumed.
