The crystal structure determination of C‐calebassine iodide C 40 H 48 O 2 N 4 I 2 ,nH 2 O has shown that the structure of the alkaloid ion is in agreement with formula Ia, proposed by P. K ARRER et al. [3] (cf. structure formula). As the refinement is still going on, further details will be published in Z. Krist.
