The reductive dehalogenation of halo‐π‐allyl‐tricarbonyliron complexes affords bis‐(π‐allyl‐tricarbonyliron) which coexists in solution with the paramagnetic π‐allyl‐tricarbonyliron. Similar paramagnetic complexes have also been obtained with substituted π‐ally1 ligands and also with both one or two of the carbonyl groups replaced by t ‐phosphines. The elucidation of the structure of these products, based on analytical, electron spin resonance, and infrared data, is discussed.
