Abstract Benzamidoxime and cyanic acid react to give O‐carbamoyl‐benzamidoxime, and not the oxime of benzoylurea as generally admitted. 3‐Phenyl‐5‐hydroxy‐l,2,4‐oxa‐diazole is quantitatively formed by reacting hydroxylamine on carbamoylbenzami‐dine.
