The use of a polarised dropping mercury electrode as an electrometric indicator for coupling titrations is described. Ordinary diazo components can be employed even in admixture with organic solvents. The efficiency of this method is shown with some naphthols, naphthylamines, aminonaphthols, pyrazolones, and with acetoacet‐anilide. The standard deviation lies between 0.20 and 0.66%.
