Digitoxigenin was transformed by growing cultures of Psilocybe mexicana H EIM to 7β‐hydroxydigitoxigenin, 3‐dehydrodigitoxigenin, 3‐dehydro‐7β‐hydroxydigitoxi‐genin and to digoxigenin. Incubation of digitoxigenin with Psilocybe sewperviva C AILLEUX ct H EIM yielded Digoxigenin as main product. 3‐Dehydrodigitoxigenin was oxygenated to 3‐dehydro‐7β‐hydroxydigitoxigenin by P. mexicana and hydrogenated to digitoxigenin and hydroxylated to digoxigenin by P. semperviva . Strophanthidin was reduced to strophanthidol by P. semperviva .
