Abstract By reacting suitably activated aromatic and hetero‐aromatic halogen compounds with N‐hydroxyurethane, N‐hydroxyphthalimide, or the ethyl ester of aceto‐hydroximic acid, several new derivatives of O‐arylhydroxylamines have been obtained, such as a series of aromatic and hetero‐aromatic N‐ethoxycarbonyl‐hydroxyl‐amines (tables 1 and 2), two N‐phenoxy‐phthalimides, and a new N‐phenoxy‐acetimido tthyl ester.
