1 The condensation of dichloropyromellitic acid dianhydride (I) with substituted anilines ( o ‐, p ‐chloro‐, p ‐fluoro) gave new derivates of dianilino‐pyromellitic acid di‐phenylimide (II, VI, VII). 2 The condensation of dichloropyromellitic acid di‐methylimide (IX) or of compound I with ethylamine yielded 1,4‐di‐ethylamino‐pyromellitic acid di‐ethylimide (X).
