The authors report the preparation of the 1,2,4‐oxadiazoles monosubstituted (a) in 5 position by CH 3 , C 6 H 5 , and p ‐C 6 H 4 Br, (b) in 3 position by CH 3 , and C 6 H 5 . 3,3′‐Bioxadiazole XIII has been prepared from oxamide dioxime and formic acid in the presence of BF 3 .
