From the low boiling fraction of Bulgarian rose oil oenanthaldehyde, methylheptenone, n‐hexyl alcohol and an unknown oxide C 10 H 12 O have been isolated. The constitution of the oxide has been determined by oxidative degradation as that of a 3‐methyl‐2‐[3′‐methylbut‐2′‐enyl]‐tetrahydro‐furan.
