Les auteurs ont étudié l'oxydation par Acetobacter suboxydans des cyclopentane‐, cyclohexane‐ et cycloheptane‐diols‐1,2 cis et trans . Ils ont établi la configuration des cyclohexane‐diols‐1,2 optiquement actifs; on en déduit par analogie celle des cyclopentane‐ et cycloheptanediols‐1,2 actifs.
