Two methods are described for the preparation of the hexamine of formula I: 1 Condensation of bis‐(phtalimido‐ethyl)‐amine (III) with 1,2‐dibromocthan and hydrolysis of the product. 2 Condensation of benzenesulfoethylene‐imide (V) with ethylenediamine and saponification in H 2 SO 4 .The hexamine was, however, not obtained by hydrogenation of ethylene‐diamine‐tetraacto‐nitril (II).
