Es wird eine Synthese des Decapreno‐ϵ 1 ‐carotins (V) beschrieben, eines Carotinoid‐Kohlenwasserstoffs C 50 H 68 , der sich vom isomeren Decapreno‐β‐carotin darin unterscheidet, dass er zwei α‐Jonon‐ statt zwei β‐Jononringe enthält. Er ist ein höheres Isoprenhomologe des ϵ 1 ‐Carotins.
