An 18‐year‐old black woman was initially seen with a 1‐year history of a slowly enlarging midline neck mass. On physical examination this was consistent with a thyroglossal duct cyst. Histologic examination following a Sistrunk procedure revealed a Hürthle cell adenoma arising in a thyroglossal duct cyst. This is the second reported case of a Hürthle cell adenoma arising in a thyroglossal duct cyst. Neoplasms of thyroglossal duct cysts are reviewed.
