Nodular fasciitis of the oral mucosa is a rare lesion. The present article describes an additional case and discusses the difficulties in the histologic diagnosis. The final diagnosis is based on immunohistochemistry and electron microscopic morphology. Nodular fasciitis should be considered in the differential diagnosis of swellings in the oral mucosa.
