This chapter provides a rationale for supporting American Indians and Alaska Natives in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields particularly at the graduate level through Pacific Northwest Circle of Success: Mentoring Opportunities in STEM (PNW‐COSMOS) Alliance activities and offers direction for the development of programming for other groups underrepresented in STEM.
