The closo ‐stannaborane salt [Rh(PPh 3 ) 2 ‐(nbd)][1‐Me‐1‐ closo ‐SnB 11 H 11 ] reacts with H 2 in CH 2 Cl 2 solution to afford the contact ion‐pair Rh(PPh 3 ) 2 (1‐Me‐ closo ‐SnB 11 H 11 ), which has been characterized in solution and the solid state by X‐ray diffraction. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
