COVER ILLUSTRATION How do impression (the degree to which we positively view others) and reflected impression (the degree to which we think others positively view us) interact with each other? We investigated the relationship between them using fMRI and speed‐dating events. The results showed that the vmPFC encodes both but the link between the reflected impression and vmPFC activity was fully mediated by the impression.
